Between now and 2030, surveys project a roughly 250% increase in the number of buildings and built-up area created across India’s top 50 cities. We have moved far from the traditional architectures that flourished in our country and designs that let us live optimally – buildings today create 40% of our country’s emissions and 60% of its waste.

The answer to sustainable development could start right inside our homes – homes that breathe, respect land, use natural resources carefully, leverage native wisdom and are built for a better today and tomorrow. And conscious, ethical and smarter lifestyles that are energy-wise, close to nature and rooted to the cultures we belong to. And all of this at the same cost that it takes to build a regular home!

If you have always wanted an eco-friendly home but didn’t know where to start, ZED and The Alternative  have the right kickstarter event for you. “Greenprint Your Home” is an onsite practical workshop that equips you with the right information, tools and know-how that can help you build, design and renew your  personal space for sustainability.

From natural building materials and space and light design to water and waste management, eco-friendly furniture, energy-efficient appliances and decor, the workshop comprehensively covers all the basics of a green home through expert sessions with renowned architects, live demos, walk-throughs and interactive Q and A sessions.

The second edition of Greenprint Your Home is on Saturday, Dec 7th, 10 am to 5 pm, at the ZED Office, Sadashivnagar (google map directions)
